New Stainless Steel CastSert® inserts  from PEM® provide strong, fully formed and gaugeable threads in both extruded aluminium and die-cast  aluminium and magnesium. The extremely simple press-in, installation process for these inserts uses a flat punch and anvil to install all sizes and lengths, approximately 80% faster than other methods such as Helicoil type fasteners.
  • The deeply knurled body allows engagement with as-cast draft angle holes, or drilled holes - no special hole preparation or tapping is required
  • Significant installation process cost savings vs. coil inserts or thread tapping are easily possible.
  • Available in imperial thread sizes 2-56 to 1/4-20  and  metric M2.5 to M6 with two fastener lengths per thread size.
  • Mounted by simply pressing the inserts into drilled or as-cast holes. Installation is accomplished using any standard press at any time during the production process.
Watch this video to see how quick and simple it is to add a full depth, strong and fully gaugeable thread to softer materials which would not readily support reusable tapped threads
